'Governing AI for Humanity', new report from the UN Secretary-General's AI Advisory Body

The UN Secretary-General's AI Advisory Body, board to which belongs our researcher Vanina Martínez, has launched the Interim Report “Governing AI for Humanity,” about the urgent need for aligning international norms with the development and deployment of AI technologies. 

The report highlights the importance of strengthening international governance mechanisms for AI, and for that proposes seven key functions, including horizon scanning for risks and fostering international collaboration on data, computing capacity, and talent to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Additionally, it offers recommendations to improve accountability and ensure equitable representation for all nations.
