How to use par files?

This simple step by step process will help you get started using par files to recover missing or corrupted rar archives.

Note: UnRarX now supports par and par2 this improves compatibility with the lastest generation of par tools.

1. Launch UnRarX. 2. Drag par or par2 file into the UnRarX window. 3. Recovery begins automatically.

Additionally if you wish to have UnRarX automatically attempt to unarchive rar files after par recovery, go to UnRarX Perferences and check the box labled "par to rar".
