Getting to IIIA

From Barcelona Airport (By Taxi)

If you are coming to IIIA directly from the airport, we suggest you take a taxi. The ride will roughly be around 30 minutes long and will cost around 40-50€.

If the taxi driver finds it difficult to locate IIIA's address, please note that we are just next to Cerdanyola's Fire Station (or in Catalan, "Parc de Bombers de Cerdanyola", whose address is: Av. de Serragalliners, 08193 Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona). The fire station is a few meters away from us (see image to the right). From there, just follow the IIIA-CSIC sign accross the street.

From Barcelona City Center (By Train)

If you are coming from Barcelona, we suggest coming by train.

  1. Take the FGC train from one of the central stations, like Plaça Catalunya, Provença, Gràcia, or any other station on the S2 line.
  2. Take line S2 (the green line, direction “Sabadell”). The S2 trains usually run every 5-10 minutes.
  3. Get off at the "Universitat Autònoma" stop.
  4. Open Google Maps, and follow the suggested path.

For more info, checkout the FGC website for the Barcelona-Vallès line.
