About the Instructor: Dr. Stefano V. Albrecht is a leading expert in artificial intelligence, specializing in reinforcement learning and multi-agent systems. He leads the Autonomous Agents Research Group at the University of Edinburgh and has collaborated with industry leaders on cutting-edge applications in multi-robot systems and autonomous driving. His work has earned him recognition, including a nomination for the prestigious IJCAI Computers and Thought Award. Dr. Albrecht is also affiliated with the Alan Turing Institute, where he heads the Multi-Agent Systems theme. Dr. Albrecht was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin working with Prof. Peter Stone. He is co-author of the MIT Press textbook "Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning: Foundations and Modern Approaches," which will be used as a primary resource during the course.

Course Overview: This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL), covering foundational concepts, modern algorithms, and practical applications. Participants will explore the basics of reinforcement learning, game theory, and advanced MARL algorithms that utilize deep learning techniques.
