David Hernández Salazar is an industrial designer and musician with a Master's degree in Research for Design and Innovation from Elisava University in Barcelona. He has received the Innovadores de América - CAF Award and the Professional Leader Award, and has participated as a TEDx speaker on music and design. His career includes developing innovation and culture projects at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (PRUAB), leading training workshops, and creating award-winning projects such as Ars Gràcia, I+Deario, Innovarium, and Ludófono, the latter of which was selected for platforms such as BIME Pro, Womex, and Primavera Sound Pro.
He is a creative member of Artificia, a multidisciplinary research team in artificial intelligence and music based in Barcelona. He is also co-director and co-founder of the LATIR Festival, a cultural exchange platform between Latin America and Europe supported by various institutions such as the Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, Avianca, Casa Amèrica Catalunya, and the Gabriel García Márquez Library. In addition, he is the founder and musician of Beyond Collapse, a project that experiments live with new technologies applied to music and is supported by the IIIA-CSIC Artificial Intelligence Institute and the UAB-Cruïlla Chair. Beyond Collapse has been invited to prominent events such as the Mobile World Congress, Integrated Systems Europe, the Festa de la Ciència of the Ajuntament de Barcelona (Science Fair), and the Setmana de la innovació at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
