IIIA-CSIC's 2023 Annual Report highlights a year of remarkable growth and impact in AI research. The Institute, now a team of 80 members, has expanded its reach with new researchers in fields such as neuroscience, education, and natural language processing, supported by increased funding and resources.

In 2023, the IIIA published more than 100 publications and contributed to 36 projects with European, national, local and private funding. The Institute also played a key role in shaping the strategic direction of AI through active participation in conferences, advisory roles and the promotion of international collaborations.

Committed to open science and societal benefit, the IIIA continues to drive AI innovation while ensuring public understanding of its capabilities and limitations. We hope this report provides valuable insights that inspire further connections and collaborations with our institute.
