La investigación de este grupo se centra en el desarrollo de algoritmos, modelos, software y aplicaciones de aprendizaje automático. Desde una perspectiva algorítmica/de modelado, el grupo realiza investigaciones en Modelos Gráficos Probabilísticos, Razonamiento Basado en Casos, Aprendizaje Transferido y Aprendizaje Profundo. Desde la perspectiva del software y las aplicaciones, el grupo se concentra en áreas de aplicación como redes sociales, música, robótica, sistemas multiagente, bioinformática y atención médica.
